About Ambrosia :
Maureen Goulet

Maureen Goulet started a catering/cooking school 20 years ago in Richmond. Shortly after moving to West Vancouver she opened her doors to her neighbors and guest Chefs from some of the best restaurants in Vancouver. Wolfgang Von Weiser, the Executive Chef of the 'Four Seasons Hotel', was one of the first Chefs to grace Maureeen's kitchen and what fabulous creations did he turn out for the lucky participants. Wolfgang did many classs for Ambrosia before he departed for the Four Seaseon in Las Vegas. Other great guest chefs who came to share their culinary secrets were: Micheal Jacob, 'Le Crocodile', restaurant, Pierre de la Cote, from 'Season in the Park', Ernst Dorfler, from the Pan Pacific Hotel. Goulet also hosts many cooking classes at different Hotels such as; The Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel, The Waterfront Hotel, The Hotel Vancouver, The Bayshore just to name a few.

Other events Goulet has created are: The 'Men Only' Valentine cooking class, which has been going on for over fifteen years. Many of the same men come every year to learn how to make a gourmet meal for their wives for Valentine's Day.

Singles classes have also become popular with Goulet's clientel. Men and Women of similar ages are booked into cooking events where they can learn how to prepare great recipes and have the opportunity to meet other like minded indiviuals to share the evening with. Goulet's single events have inspired a few relationships and event a number of weddings!

For the corportate client Maureen has developed the Mystery Box Competition. After a day of meetings your employees are treated to a cook off. Each group of participants must create one entree from the ingredients at hand. Each group is marked on a strick criteria and well as prestentation, taste and team effort. Lots of fun and a great team building event.

Looking for a great idea for your next staff party? Maureen will organize your guest into groups so that they can produce one part of a gourmet dinner which you will all dine on after. This has been a great ice breaker for staff parties where the spouses are invited. Everyone gets to know each other while preparing a gourmet feast!

Maureen Goulet resides in West Vancouver with her Husband Maurice and two children, Carrie and Matthew who have all been very supportive and involved in the business over the years.
